MacBook Neo and Masters of the Universe

Wow what a film. Masters of the Universe was a great movie. You gotta go see it. It's great for any He-Man fan. The film sticks to its roots for characters and names. It talks a lot about Eternia and Castle Grey Skull. Both are major settings in the film. This film is much more character based than the 1987 film. This movie is more like the cartoon and those who grew up watching the cartoon will feel the nostalgia.  I also got some swag from the theatre. Watch the video to see it.

I do have to say if you are taking your kids to see this film there is a little language in it. One use of the G D word and a few uses of the A word and couple uses of the S word.

Spoilers Ahead
So Prince Adam was sent to Earth as a child when Skeletor attacked Enternos. Man At Arms tried to defend the palace but was ultimately defeated by Trap Jaw. The Sorceress gave Prince Adam the sword of power before being sent to earth but Adam lost the sword upon landing on earth. Adam grew up constantly looking for the sword. As an adult he finds the sword and raises it above his head saying the magic words but nothing happens, at least he thinks. Teela senses the sword and follows its signal to earth rescuing Adam and bringing him back to Eternia. Beastman also tracks the sword to earth and attacks Adam and Teela.  Once back on Eternia Adam begins to harness the swords power and ultimately becomes He-Man defender of Grey Skull. Jared Leto plays an awesome Skeletor. This is a great movie.

Can an iPad Replace a MacBook

So many articles end with “it depends on what you’re gonna use it for.” I get it. That it totally the correct answer but in my case I believe it can. Of course I love my MacBook and it’s so fun to use but so is my iPad. I can totally get by with only my iPad. I go to SNHU and have used my iPad for every class so far without any trouble. I’ve edited video and photos on my iPad, I’ve created websites using my iPad. In today’s world kids are growing up in a smartphone and tablet world. Schools are handing out tablets to students. You can literally get an iPad with cellular from your cell store. iPads are everywhere. If I wanted to do it I could get by with just and iPad. Right now I am using my 12.9 inch M1 iPad Pro to write this entry. I use it for so much regularly. I love my iPad. I don’t even need the pro model to get by on what I do on the daily. When I upgrade I’m actually gonna down grade. I am gonna go from the 12.9 iPad Pro to the regular 11 inch budget iPad. Since I have the MacBook Neo in blue and I have a blue iPhone 15 I’m gonna get a blue iPad. But who knows. Maybe one day we will all be saying “What’s a computer.”

Visiting The Apple Store

Today we went back to Pittsburgh to visit an Apple Store in the South Hills Village Mall. I had recently bought a MacBook Neo at Rent a Center. After careful thought I decided that paying $1200 over the course of 4 months was a little to much for that particular computer. I talked things over with my wife and we decided to return that computer back to Rent a Center. That's the good thing about Rent a Center anyone can return anything for any reason. After the return we hit the road back to Pittsburgh for the second time this week. It's only an hour and a half away, so not too bad. We found ourselves at the South Hills Village Mall and at the Apple Store. I had a hard time deciding between the indigo and citrus colors but ultimately chose the indigo. I could've sworn I chose the citrus but I didn't. It's ok I loved both colors. I did take my old MacBook Air in for a trade in and used my school email for a student discount and after both of those I ended up paying $375 for a brand new MacBook. I even chose the 512gb with Touch ID. I got the better of the 2 and still paid less than $400. It was quite a deal. My wife Nikki got herself some Air Pods Pro 3 and she loves them. She was like these things are banging when we got home. Of course the whole trip is documented on a YouTube video embedded above or you can visit my YouTube channel Rain in the City.

I Love Apple Products

I love Apple products. They are fun to use and easy to figure out. It seems like things are just where you’d expect them to be. Most of the technical stuff can be found in settings. Just find what you’re looking for in the list and click on it, very easy to do. The dock on the bottom of the desktop has all your major apps right on it. You can even pick and choose what you in your dock and if it isn’t there then open finder and it’ll be right there. Both iPad and Mac are laid out pretty similarly. Things just work with Apple.
Right now I have an iPad Pro 12.9 inch, MacBook Air M1, MacBook Neo 512gb, iPhone 15, Apple Pencil, and an Apple Watch. I love my Apple Products. We recently took a trip to Kennywood. I recorded a lot of footage there and took some pictures. Amazingly all of my videos and photos were right on my MacBook when I got home. I didn’t have to Air Drop a single thing. That made it nice for me when I went to make my YouTube video about our trip. Things sync without us lifting a finger. To be honest I couldn’t use a Windows device to save my life. I’ve been an Apple user for over 20 years now.
I like taking my iPad or MacBook with me and go to the park and sit at a picnic table and just do work. No I don’t get paid for my website or YouTube videos yet but I am trying to build a channel and website. It isn’t easy to create videos and blog topics. It takes work. Lots of work. But using my new Mac or iPad to help me create makes me feel good about myself. I’m proud that I own Apple. I’m proud that I can use my devices to create content for you. Right now I’m actually writing this on my iPad Pro.
Earlier today I posted a video about our trip to Kennywood and I used my MacBook Neo to create that video. I shot the entire video on my IPhone 15. I created the thumbnail on my iPad Pro. All three devices come together to create. It makes work fun. Hopefully one day I will get paid for using my devices.

We Went To Kennywood!!!

We took a trip to Kennywood in Pittsburgh Pa. It was a super fun day and luckily it didn't rain until after we left. We took rides on most of the coasters and even a few little rides. My grandson was there with us and he's five so we watched him have fun on some of the kiddie rides. He had a blast. He even got to ride the whip with us so we enjoyed a ride with him. If anyone was thinking of taking a trip to Kennywood it is well worth the time and money. We had such a good time. Insider tip, if you go you have to get some French fries with cheese sauce from the potato patch. They have the best fries in the world. Kennywood in Pittsburgh Pa is a great place for a family to have a good time and enjoy each others company.

I Got a New MacBook Neo

So on today's adventure we take a trip to Buckhannon West Virginia. In Buckhannon we visit McDonalds, Walmart, and FC Liquidations. I also buy a new MacBook Neo. I couldn't wait to get home and setup my new MacBook. The Neo seems snappy and ready to do any workload you throw at it. I got the 512 GB version with Touch ID in silver. I wanted citrus but they didn't have it where I bought mine from. The lack of the backlit keyboard doesn't seem to bother me to much so far. I have a light right next to where I type anyway. The laptop feels sturdy and is very light. It almost feels lighter than my MacBook Air but when I googled the question it said that both weigh the same. There isn't much I can say about the Neo that hasn't already been said. It's a cheaper option MacBook that I think will outsell the Air models and may even put a dent in the Pro sales. It's a great laptop so far. I created the above video using the Neo without a hiccup. It worked through the 1080p video without even breaking a sweat and I've read that people are editing 4K video on it as well. I think the Neo and I will get along just fine. I am impressed.
I used to write and make videos to try to make money and get subs. This time I am writing and creating videos for a hobby. For the fun of it. I’ve made 3 videos on YouTube, have 1 subscriber, and 12 views. Hardly enough for a paycheck but still something. I want to create videos and blog entries that interest people. I try to create for myself in hopes that my interest interest someone else too. I use my iPhone to record video, my MacBook Air or Neo to edit video and my iPad to create thumbnails. Together I think I do alright. I try to make things happen.

A Walk Along The Nutter Fort West Virginia Trail

So, today my wife and I decided to go for a walk along the Nutter Fort West Virginia trail. We need to be exercising more often rather than just sitting around watching TV or playing on our devices. We are both overweight and a good walk does us good. So as usual I decided to film the walk. It's only a few minute video but it shows the trail and I talk a little in it. I'm still wondering what my channel can be about. I've been doing basic vlogging but that doesn't get subscribers. I know I do this for myself but gaining some subs is also a goal. It's hard to make it on YouTube these days. everyone wants to be a YouTuber. So how does a small no subs channel like me get recognized. I do not know.

Old Hill Cemetery Ghost Hunt

So this was the first time I got to use my ghost hunting kit. I didn't know what exactly to do with it or how to use it so I fumbled my...
