GoorDik Wireless Microphone

So a while back I got on Amazon and shopped around for a lav. microphone and a tripod. I didn't want to spend a lot of money on either. I was only thinking of starting my channel again when I was shopping for this. I came across the GoorDik mic and thought it was cheap enough to buy so I did. Let me tell you what, I tried it out for the first time on this video and it made a huge difference. It was easy enough to figure out and it made a world of difference. I also bout a selfie stick/tripod to set my phone on and it worked like a charm too. I think I spent around $20 on both and they both work great. It doesn't take a ton of money to create YouTube videos at all. I started with just my phone and now I have a mic and a tripod. I use natural lighting although I know a ring light isn't that much. People can excuse bad lighting and bad sound if the content is good but eventually you'll want to fix that as you get more into the hobby of creating. To be honest I really enjoy creating YouTube videos. I like using my gadgets and using my MacBook. I bought my Mac to be used for just this and it works great. Enjoy the video. 

 

Morgantown Mall Morgantown WV

In this video we visit the Morgantown Mall. I read online that it was dying mall but it seemed vibrant and busy. There are a lot of stores and it's a pretty big mall. Nikki likes that it had a bealls. That store seemed to be a combination of Gabes and TJ  Max. It wasn't a bad day at the mall at all. We had fun. Nikki bought a keychain that says her name and a vape. I bought nothing but did enjoy walking around the mall. There was some kind of card show and collectable show going on there today so some of the mall was super crowded. If you want to visit this mall it is in Westover WV just off of 79. Deli Work

 

So I work in a deli at a very busy grocery store  In this video I show you what I do in a days work. Deli work is hard work. It takes patience and the ability to multitask. There are also days when you want to tell customers where to go. Customers can be rude. There are even a couple that demand you give them exactly the weight they want. Like if it's over what they ask for then they will demand you take some of it off. It's ridiculous. Also we close at 8. Don't be the person that comes in a 7:50 and orders. By that time we are cleaning up and wanting to go home for the evening. I've had more that my share of customers that do that to me. When I have to recclean everything I don't get out of the store until 8:45. I can't stand when people do that to me. Well enjoy the video. 

Meadowbrook Mall Bridgeport WV

 What's happening guys? Today I decided to take myself shopping. I went to the Meadowbrook Mall in Bridgeport WV. This isn't the biggest or best mall around but it is the local mall from where I live. I looked around in JC Penny and Boscovs. Both are clothing retailers and sell mens big and tall. I may not be tall but I do like a 3X shirt. I found a couple of outfits meaning one at each location. I really liked the polo you see in the video from JC Penny's. I spent more than I wanted to but I guess clothing isn't cheap. I guess it is if you buy your clothes at Walmart but I hate Walmart. Funny I just said I hated Walmart and at the same exact time my wife texted me she is at Walmart. I absolutely hate that store. I avoid Walmart at all costs. My iPad

 So I’ve had my iPad Pro since 2021. It’s 5 years old going on 6. Over the years I like to think that I’ve gotten fairly decent at using it. I have some useful apps on my iPad that use and I of course use it to web browse. 

I use LumaFusion and iMovie to edit videos. I use Photomator to edit photos and Safari to web browse. I also use my iPad to read USA Today and watch YouTube. I even create my thumbnails for my YouTube videos on my iPad. Can my iPad replace my MacBook? I’d have to say I’d bet it could. Don’t get me wrong, I LOVE using my MacBook. If you read my blog or watch my YouTube videos then you’ll know that I just purchased a MacBook Neo but I don’t do anything on it that my iPad couldn’t do. My iPad is my go to device. 

An iPad can easily replace a camera and MacBook for shooting and editing video. You can record the video with your iPad camera and edit the video on LumaFusion or iMovie. iPads even have Final Cut Pro now. I can easily write up blog posts on Pages and upload them to my blogger account. All of my school websites have always worked on my iPad also. So could an iPad replace my laptop, absolutely. 

Todays kids are given Chromebooks or iPads for school purposes. Most kids also have a smartphone in their pockets and if they are using an iPhone then they know how to use an iPad. If those are the facts then most kids don’t know how to use a computer. They are using their phones and tablets for their everyday devices. I’d say that todays kids are smarter than I am at using an iPad. I still have trouble navigating the files app. So if todays kids are using their smart devices more and more then one day those famous words on the Apple add could be reality. “What’s a computer?”

Sams Club Visit

 So today we went to Sams Club to renew our membership. We decided to walk around for a bit and look at their merchandise. We found T-shirts, shorts, groceries, and more. I've always wanted to have a Costco close by to visit but I guess Sams is all we will get. From what I was told a Sams Club is similar to a Costco in that both require a membership and both carry clothing, electronics, groceries, and personal hygiene items. Sams Club is owned by Walmart, hint the name "Sams" Club. We bought a few items that I show you in the video. I usually don't like to shop at Sams because everything is in bulk. You can't just buy a pack of bacon you have to buy 3. You can't just buy a bottle of ketchup you have to buy 2 huge bottles. Everything is in bulk. Many businesses shop at Sams to supply their stock. It really is a nice store but we just don't have the room or money to buy in bulk.

MacBook Neo and Masters of the Universe

Wow what a film. Masters of the Universe was a great movie. You gotta go see it. It's great for any He-Man fan. The film sticks to its roots for characters and names. It talks a lot about Eternia and Castle Grey Skull. Both are major settings in the film.This film is much more character based than the 1987 film. This movie is more like the cartoon and those who grew up watching the cartoon will feel the nostalgia.  I also got some swag from the theatre. Watch the video to see it. 

I do have to say if you are taking your kids to see this film there is a little language in it. One use of the G D word and a few uses of the A word and couple uses of the S word. 

Spoilers Ahead

So Prince Adam was sent to Earth as a child when Skeletor attacked Enternos. Man At Arms tried to defend the palace but was ultimately defeated by Trap Jaw. The Sorceress gave Prince Adam the sword of power before being sent to earth but Adam lost the sword upon landing on earth. Adam grew up constantly looking for the sword. As an adult he finds the sword and raises it above his head saying the magic words but nothing happens, at least he thinks. Teela senses the sword and follows its signal to earth rescuing Adam and bringing him back to Eternia. Beastman also tracks the sword to earth and attacks Adam and Teela.  Once back on Eternia Adam begins to harness the swords power and ultimately becomes He-Man defender of Grey Skull. Jared Leto plays an awesome Skeletor. This is a great movie.
